Children of God taking care of each other.

"They broke bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart."

Acts 2:46

theflock is a private, invite-only community of Christians. Help each other with whatever life brings, build real friendships with people near you, and live together as a flock, not just on Sunday.

It starts with two questions.

Everyone who joins answers How can I help? and, if they want, Where do I need help? So many people want to help but don't know where, or who. Try it: pick what you could give, and see who near you is waiting for exactly that.

"Carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

Galatians 6:2

What it looks like

A mechanic kneels by a car and takes a wrench from a young boy while his mother watches, holding a toddler.
A car fixed before Monday. He offered on Wednesday. She accepted on Thursday. The kids still talk about it.
Three mothers laugh together over coffee on a garden blanket while their babies and toddlers play.
Moms in the same season. Meals in the first weeks, coffee every week after.
Four men of different ages build a wooden fence together and laugh.
Men who build things together. A fence for a widow, a friendship for life.

Then find people in the same season as you.

Real friendships start with people who share your life: the same kids' ages, the same struggles, the same Saturday plans.

Gatherings, not group chats.

Any member can host: a Sunday lunch, a breakfast, a hike, a weekend away. Open gatherings are visible to members nearby, private ones only to your circle. Here is what a month could look like.

  • 19 Oct: Sunday lunch under the big tree

Escazú, after church. Bring one dish.

  • 25 Oct: Men's breakfast and a fence to build

    Santa Ana, 7:00 am

  • 29 Oct: Moms' morning with the little ones

    Belén, 9:30 am

  • 14 Nov: Weekend retreat in the mountains

San Gerardo de Dota, Friday to Sunday

Friends sit around a campfire at a mountain retreat while one plays guitar.
Where strangers become family. One weekend away does more than a year of handshakes.

From an invitation to a seat at the table.

There is no public sign-up. The way in is a member who knows you. We are starting with a few churches in Costa Rica.

  1. Someone invites you

A member who knows you sends the invite. Every profile shows who invited whom.

  2. You answer two questions

How can I help? Where do I need help? Then add your season of life and what you enjoy.

  3. You find your people

Needs you can meet, circles that fit your season of life, and gatherings near you.

  4. You meet in real life

Lunches, breakfasts, hikes, retreats. The app is only the way to the table.

Six friends talk over coffee and open Bibles on a terrace surrounded by plants.

Everyone here is known by someone.

Every member was invited by another member who vouched for them, and you can always see how someone is connected to people you know.

Two invitations a month
Members choose carefully. When you invite, you answer a few honest questions about how well you know the person.
Private feedback only
After a gathering or a helping hand, you can tell us privately how it went. There are no public ratings to chase.
The inviter hears first
If a pattern of concern appears, we go to the person who invited them before anything else, as Matthew 18 teaches.
You decide who sees what
Circles and gatherings can be open or private, and needs can be shown only to women or only to men.

What we hold to.

One hand passes a small card with a fish symbol to another hand.
  • Real tables over screens.

There is no endless feed to scroll. Everything in theflock points toward meeting in person.

  • Help is offered, never demanded.

Nobody can request your work. You share a need, and people choose to offer. Being a plumber here does not make you the free plumber.

  • No scoreboards.

There are no public badges or rankings for serving. God sees it. That is enough.

  • Honest about risk.

We cannot see into anyone's heart, and none of us is perfect. We make trust easier to earn and harder to abuse, but we never promise a guarantee.
